In an ongoing effort to streamline the supply chain, and make our apps even easier to use, we have developed our new Logistics App! We are finishing up testing now and are set to launch it later this month, January 2019. Customer feedback and testing showed us that having one app with assignable user roles was more efficient than having customers switch between the separate Driver and Consignee apps.
It is now easier than ever for customers to roll out implementation and adoption network-wide with a single Logistics App that is easy for everyone to use, drivers, dispatchers, and consignees alike. Admins have the power to assign roles from the Command Console as well.
ePOD (Electronic Proof of Delivery) is now possible for consignees, too! This works great for international shipments with logged sensor data and it works great for companies who use many day-drivers or a freight broker. Consignees can use the app to read sensor data to be sure there was no damage caused during transit.
Other new features will also be included with the Logistics App launch:
- Milkrun Shipment – users can easily slide to pickup/deliver all the shipments with the same origin and destination address, so they do not have to mark each one individually
- Shipment Comments – now all shipment comments will be viewable in the shipment details
- Stop Event – users can now send events on each stop location
