First Pharma Client: Monitoring Pharma Shipments to Africa

Our first pharma client ships vital medical supplies and medications all over the globe.  The first SensorTransport shipments are monitoring temperature and humidity of shipments to Africa.  We have to keep the company name and details under wraps for a few more weeks, but we couldn’t help but give you a peek ;)

Our mission is to protect the integrity of these medical supplies and make sure they get to the people who need them. The IoT sensor and use of our App lowers the cost of monitoring and simplifies the data collection. This unique process is attracting interest from top Pharma clients with multiple NDAs already signed.  Success with monitoring of sensitive Pharma shipments into Africa will set the stage for bigger trials planned in 2020.

Estes Final Mile: Digitizing the Extended Supply Chain with the Receiver App

We teamed up with Estes Final Mile to develop the Receiver App, which we introduced to you in last month’s newsletter.  The Receiver App controls the receipt of a shipment by digitizing the Proof of Delivery and providing a damage report as needed.   It’s the same App, now configured to support the person who is “receiving” the shipment into a warehouse, so existing customers can now easily extend their visibility and control across the extended supply chain.

The Estes Final Mile team utilizes the “Receiver” app to extend the digitization of their operations into the local warehouse.  Once received, the operations team sets the customer appointment and triggers the dispatch to the Driver App for a digitized delivery to the customer.

"The Receiver App integrates the SensorTransport technology further upstream in our supply chain.  Visibility and control over our inbound shipments across multiple warehouses in real-time, as well as recording exception notes at time of receipt, tightened our processes, and bridged the gap between the dock and the front office.  Adding this function to an already robust Mobile platform, with a logic and user interface that is familiar to our current users, allowed us to quickly integrate this workflow with all warehouses."
